The Campaign

The assignment was to source a new Trustee for the Board.

It was essential that the successful candidate not only wanted to give something back to the local community but could also evidence their experience of growing successful growing a business, new market development and strategic planning.

Our Approach

We approached a range of senior candidates from commercial, academic, political and compliance backgrounds who had demonstratable success in their careers.

Candidates were screened to not only asses their interest in the role but also to ensure that they had the time to undertake the role, would be fully committed and understood the requirements of becoming a trustee.

The Challenge

The challenge was judging whether the potential Trustees would buy into the idea of contributing towards the lives of the students and helping Bristol Students’ Union achieve their vision of the best student life.

The Solution

Our Charity Recruitment Team were able to source a shortlist of candidates who demonstrated the right commercial and personal attribute for the role. From this shortlist, candidates were selected for interview and the successful candidate commenced role in 19th June 2018.

The newly appointed Trustee was highly experienced in creating operational excellence in consumer-led organisations, alongside this,  had Trustee experience within youth networks.
