This established Managed Service Provider with a national presence, leads the way with flexible technology solutions and is going through a fantastic phase of growth and transition.
As a result, they were looking to expand their consultant team within the South West and Moon Executive Search was delighted to be recommended to conduct a ‘no stone unturned’ approach to the market.
The Challenge
For this search we were looking for an experienced professional, who could demonstrate technical specialism in Public and Hybrid Cloud (Azure and O365).
The appointed candidate would join the Cloud and infrastructure team, mentoring the presales arena from junior to architect level and propose, design and deliver hybrid cloud solutions to new and existing clients. So, the ideal candidate needed to be both customer centric, and highly technical.
Our Approach
Searching for a candidate who had the precise technical knowledge as well as a demonstrable, customer-centric approach meant that we really needed to understand not only the technical aspects of the brief, but also appreciate the Client’s own customer base to match the soft skills required.
As the search was conducted during a backdrop of Covid19 restrictions, we adapted our approach to ensure we could work closely with the client, setting a schedule of virtual conference updates to establish a continual feedback loop on our progress.
Full competitor analysis was needed on this search to identify candidates from closed markets, keeping both hard and soft skills at the core of the search. Before presenting the shortlist to the client, all candidates were fully briefed, and the individual competencies assessed via a virtual interview.
The Solution
Following the interview stage, we continued to support both client and candidate through offer negotiations and induction planning to ensure the onboarding was as smooth as possible during the pandemic restrictions.
