There were a few challenging aspects to this search campaign. Firstly, it was a time-sensitive appointment, they needed a Managing Director to oversee operations as soon as possible. Finding an ideal candidate with suitable availability was a daunting proposition. The Managing Director had to be the right fit for the organisation. They required an individual with senior leadership experience, knowledge of the manufacturing industry, and a track record of driving growth through sales management. The process was further complicated by a Non-Disclosure Agreement, preventing specific details from being initially discussed with candidates.

Vanessa Moon and Simon Quinn led the search campaign. Due to the NDA, the search was restricted to a strict headhunt - tapping into Simon and Vanessa’s networks. We interviewed some exceptional candidates - of which Richard Taberner was the clear frontrunner. Richard had been on our radar for quite some time - his distinct profile of skills and experience were perfectly suited to this role. The client was impressed by his leadership style and strategic approach to sales management. We’re delighted that he was appointed as Fractional Managing Director.
