2023 at Moon: Reflections & New Horizons
2023 was a remarkable year of growth and success for Moon Executive Search, mirroring the broader industry's upward trajectory. The landscape of business, innovation and leadership requires adaptability and proactive responses to challenges. In 2023, we connected many exciting organisations with exceptional leaders, to not only navigate the present but also shape the future. The past year also saw our Leadership Consulting division reach new heights, alongside meaningful developments for our IT & Charity Practices. As we reflect on the year’s achievements, we have a burgeoning sense of excitement for the opportunities 2024 presents.

New Moons
A marked highlight of 2023 was expansion of our exceptional team. Three new moons joined the fold, enhancing our specialisms and enabling us to work smarter and more effectively.
Rosie Threlfall
After initially helping on SEO and web development projects, Rosie joined on a long-term basis. With a background in web design and marketing, she provides a complete, practical approach to SEO. Rosie’s enthusiasm, creativity and technical know-how ensure that Moon’s website performs well in search engines and attracts the right visitors.
Leanne Yardley
Our Business Development Manager, Leanne Yardley, joined the Moon team in July 2023. Leanne identifies business opportunities for Moon and completes cost-risk analysis for working in new sectors. Her insight is invaluable in understanding our client’s needs, business models and unique cultures - allowing the team to provide top talent to facilitate success.
Tamara Manukyan
Bolstering our strong footing in Banking and Finance, Tamara Manukyan joined as an Executive Search Consultant. She’s an experienced recruiter, specialising in unearthing experts for critical roles within Banking, Accounting and Finance. Tamara’s strength is the tenacity of her approach and her dedication to the search campaign, leading to success with a wide range of businesses, from SMEs and Non-Profits, to corporate clients and listed companies.
Leadership Consulting
The year saw a huge boom in our Leadership Consulting division. The network we’ve built through our recruitment services has displayed deep trust in our experts, increasingly approaching us for services that stretch beyond search campaigns. So, our bespoke programmes have flourished into a fully-fledged practice, which has covered a range of projects including: Board review & evaluation; business transformation & change management; business strategy; organisational strategy; leadership coaching; people strategy; benchmarking; and stakeholder engagement assessments. IT & Charity Practices
Alongside our flagship Executive Search division, our Charity & IT Practices developed considerably. The IT Practice has grown from strength to strength, with numerous new clients, and many previous clients returning for repeat business. With the rise in cyber threats, we’ve seen increased demand for Cyber Security Specialists across industries, alongside a continued demand for Cloud and Modern Workplace Engineers. As the focus within Tech & IT continues to shift from traditional degrees to skills and experience, we’ve seen fierce competition for skilled candidates.

As 2023 fades into the rear-view, trends that promise to shape the workplace landscape in 2024 include the constant negotiation and re-negotiation over hybrid and remote work arrangements, the acceleration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across all industries, and an increased focus on employee wellbeing. Whatever challenges emerge over the next 12 months, the experts at Moon make it their mission to keep a finger on the pulse – preparing our valued clients to take every opportunity.
