Founded on a desire to improve the lives of others through care and dedication, Lilian Faithfull Care (LFC) has supported older adults in Gloucestershire for nearly 80 years. Today, the organisation remains deeply committed to this value. LFC believes in treating every individual with dignity and respect, fostering independence while enriching the lives of older individuals.

Lilian Faithfull supports over 300 residents and day guests across six care homes, a dedicated day centre, and independent living flats. Their comprehensive services encompass many needs, from short-term respite to long-term residential care, including specialised dementia care and end-of-life support. The charity recognises the unique needs of each individual and tailors its care plans accordingly. The Charity proudly upholds its Home for Life pledge, ensuring that financial constraints never necessitate a resident's departure.

Significant growth in recent years has enabled LFC to provide care and support to more individuals. With further expansion planned, the Charity is seeking a Trustee to broaden the Board’s expertise.

As a Trustee, you’ll help define LFC’s long-term strategy, setting strategic direction and overall policy while evaluating performance against set objectives. You will ensure the organisation remains financially stable and compliant with relevant legislation and regulations. Your responsibilities will also include safeguarding the LFC’s reputation, assisting in appointing senior staff, and managing resources to optimise the Charity’s impact.

Lilian Faithfull Care seeks a team-oriented, collaborative individual with prior experience in Charity governance. The successful candidate will have a track record of strategic development at Board level and knowledge of elderly care and safeguarding. Ideally, they will have Trustee experience in an organisation of a similar size or model, alongside an understanding of regulatory bodies, such as the Care Quality Commission. The Trustee will possess strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with meticulous attention to detail. Furthermore, they will be committed to LFC’s values and passionate about enriching the lives of older individuals
