Mechanical Automation Engineer
Key Information:
Full-time: Permanent role.
Site-based: Bridgwater, TA6.
Salary: up to £45k.
Looking to appoint ASAP.
Our client is seeking a Mechanical Automation Engineer to support customers with electrification ambitions. Primarily using CAD, you will design bespoke manufacturing solutions to enable the production of electric motors. You will then work with wider teams to turn these designs into physical machines. In this exciting role, you’ll create a broad range of solutions, from manual jigs and fixtures to fully automated manufacturing cells.
Your key responsibilities will include:
● Collaborating with clients and design teams to create detailed specifications.
● Developing engineering solutions for production equipment.
● Drafting 2D manufacturing drawings and detailed 3D designs.
The successful candidate will be a proactive and productive individual who is excited about design. They will have experience producing engineering drawings and working in production, alongside a degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering. Furthermore, the Automation Engineer will possess strong organisation, analytical and communication skills, and be adept at using a CAD system.
