Wellsway Multi Academy Trust Seeks New Trustees (Unpaid Volunteers)

Wellsway Multi Academy Trust (MAT) is a partnership of schools which span the Bristol, Keynsham & Bath area. The Trust works to provide a high quality educational experience for all students in their care and was established in 2014. They have grown the Trust to 13 schools operating in the secondary, primary, and special needs sectors, educating young people from the ages of 3 through to 19.

Wellsway Multi Academy Trust’s purpose is to ensure that each academy within the trust achieves outstanding outcomes and high standards in all aspects of its work, so that children and young people receive a first-class education that enables them to realise their potential and leave school as confident, caring and well-rounded individuals.

“We will build a strong and cohesive identity for our trust whilst recognising that each academy within the Trust has its own unique characteristics. Through collaboration and joint working, we will ensure that all our academies share in, and benefit from, each other’s strengths.”

We are interested in speaking to candidates who have a high level of understanding in education, possess strong business and financial acumen. The board are interested in individuals with backgrounds in risk management, finance, estate planning, construction or HR.

Previous Trustee experience would be advantageous within a charity or committee setting, although this is not essential.
