(Closed) The Royal Mint Seeks a new Chief People Officer
The Royal Mint is the United Kingdom’s oldest company and the official maker of British coins. While it is over 1,100 years old, it has a sharp focus on the future, having seen a huge rise in turnover brought about by diversification as a business. The Royal Mint has managed the impact of declining cash use by growing its consumer division, boasting record-breaking sales of gold and precious metals, and exploring new profitable ventures with significant international growth. It has also expanded into new areas and attracted new customers.
To continue this huge growth and transformation journey, The Royal Mint is looking for a new Chief People Officer (CPO) to join them as they rolled out an exciting five-year strategy. At the heart of the business is its people, and foremost in the campaign was preserving the status of The Royal Mint as an outstanding employer, and a continued focus on being a fantastic place to work for its 800+ staff.
The new CPO would be pivotal in continuing their change programme and delivering on their growth agenda. So, the appointment was firmly future focused, helping to build on their existing brand and develop people and processes as they continue to innovate. The role also has a focus on training, and supporting all employees with sustainable employment – securing jobs for the future by expanding the business and being a responsible employer, as well as safeguarding current jobs.
The Royal Mint’s commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion is another key driver in its five-year strategy. With people at the heart of its future, the new CPO would have to demonstrate a commitment to the goals and values of The Royal Mint.
