The Group’s head office is in Liverpool and has offices in London, Edinburgh, Bristol, Newport and Manchester. SysGroup's strategy is to expand its position as a trusted provider of Managed IT Services to clients in the UK, making carefully targeted acquisitions to supplement organic growth.

They were looking to expand their teams across the UK and came to the Moon IT Practice as they knew the strength of our search offering and deep understanding of the MSP space, so valued the care and attention we would take when conducting their search campaigns. Moon has a great long-standing relationship with SysGroup and based on this, the client engaged us to provide a project recruitment solution to quickly fill all these specialist roles.

Outcomes

Gemma Wilks, Head of IT Practice at Moon Executive Search together with her team, led a head hunt campaign across the UK. Gemma met with the client at the onset of a campaign to better understand the background to the hires as well as the timescales. As each brief was so different, she took extra time to really understand the roles.

Devising a transparent interview and screening process meant that SysGroup stakeholders would know at all times what progress was being made and specific timeframes for presenting prospective candidates. Given that Gemma and her team are fully aware of the competitive nature of the IT sector and how quickly the market moves, she was clear from the outset that speed of delivery would not impact on the quality of our service or strength of our candidate pool.

Clients say that Gemma is always pragmatic, transparent, and open, and that she sets a realistic timetable, including regular reviews with the client throughout any search process.

This multi role campaign was underpinned by Gemma’s ability to combine her market knowledge to identify prospective candidates, as well as her networking across the IT industry sector. This multi-faceted approach meant that she was able to approach and attract candidates who would not normally be considered for these roles.

As a result, Gemma and the Moon IT Practice was successful in identifying several keys hires for the group, including:

  • Infrastructure Monitoring Engineers

  • Senior 3 rd line Engineers

  • Senior Account Managers
