(Closed) Chief Executive Opportunity at Abbeyfield Bristol and Keynsham Society

Abbeyfield-Bristol-and-Keynsham-Moon-Executive-Search

Abbeyfield Bristol & Keynsham Society has been providing assisted living housing for older people in and around Bristol since 1966. Providing Supported Sheltered Housing to older people, they have four sites in the area: Keynsham, Hanham, Redland and Henleaze.

Residents can rent their own self-contained flat, enjoying home-cooked meals, the freedom to come and go, time with new friends, and privacy when they want it. Residents and families have the added reassurance of access to support 24 hours a day.

They are part of the Abbeyfield Society which is an international, not-for-profit membership organisation and charity, founded in 1956 to provide support and accommodation for older people and to alleviate loneliness and isolation in communities.

Here in Bristol, founder Richard Carr-Gomm’s vision of creating communities for people as they get older still sits at the core of what they do. Abbeyfield Bristol and Keynsham Society's core aim is to provide the highest standards of accommodation and support for their residents, at a price which is affordable and inclusive. They uphold the National Abbeyfield Society's Core Standard which is recognised by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, and the Local Authorities in whose areas it works (i.e. Bristol, South Gloucestershire and Bath & North East Somerset).

They are now looking for a new CEO to run the Society. Key to this role is maintaining and upholding their core values of support, working closely with the Chair and Board on growth and innovation opportunities, and being responsible for managing the team and providing inclusive leadership and effective management.

They are seeking an experienced senior manager who has operated at a strategic leadership level within an organisation and is a skilled people manager. Ideal candidates will bring a track record within housing, assisted living, charity, voluntary, not for profit, or third sector.

Abbeyfield Bristol and Keynsham Society is offering a competitive salary range, along with benefits, to the right candidate – more detailed information available in the full candidate briefing pack.
