Last month brought the dawn of a new initiative for Bristol, as youth-empowering social enterprise Babbasa and Bristol One City joined forces to launch OurCity2030.

Signalling a bold and ambitious movement to support young people from low-income households to secure median salary roles by 2030, the launch brought together city leaders and young people to showcase what Bristol’s future could look like if we all work to address economic inequalities within the city.

The launch comes at an exciting time for Babbasa, which has since been awarded National Lottery Funding for its flagship youth-led Challenge Programme.

Moon Executive Search Director Simon Quinn is Chair of Babbasa:

“It’s great to see Bristol unite behind Babbasa for this fantastic initiative.

We know that the desire to close the inequality gap is strong in Bristol, but OurCity2030 gives us a solid plan to deliver meaningful change over the coming years”.

OurCity2030 aims to transform the lives of 2030 young people by 2030 by bringing together partners to nurture the diverse workplace leaders of the future.
