Youth Moves is an award-winning charity that has provided services for young people in South Bristol for nearly 20 years. Despite Bristol's overall appeal, the city grapples with significant disparities in wealth, health, and opportunities. Youth Moves empowers young people by developing their confidence, skills, and abilities, thereby opening doors to future success and well-being.

Youth Moves is collaborating with OnSide and Bristol City Council to establish a new, state-of-the-art facility in South Bristol, scheduled to open in 2025. The Youth Zone, named ‘224’, will encompass approximately 35,000 square feet dedicated to young people. Anticipating an annual engagement of 4,000 to 5,000 young individuals, the facility aims to inspire, develop, and support them in reaching their full potential.
The Charity is seeking a Chief Executive to lead them through this exciting period of growth. The CEO will cultivate a highly respected and dynamic organisation, expanding the team from approximately 20 to over 70 members while maintaining existing youth programs at the Park Center. Upon completion of the '224' building, the CEO will facilitate a smooth transition to the new facility and oversee its inaugural period. They will spearhead an engaging opening program that fosters a strong, inclusive culture within '224'.
The CEO will collaborate with the Chair and Board to develop the Charity's strategic direction and secure the Youth Zone's financial stability. They will provide inspiring leadership, setting a clear vision and equipping the team to excel individually and collectively. Furthermore, the Chief Executive will work with community and youth sector partners and other service providers, generating added benefits for young people. They will act as a figurehead for both Youth Moves and OnSide, upholding the values and principles of both organisations.
Youth Moves hope to hear from strategic leaders who thrive in fast-paced, dynamic and high-risk environments. The successful candidate will have excellent hands-on management skills and be adept at motivating others to achieve results. They will have a track record of developing organisations or large, multifaceted teams, and experience with large revenue fundraising. The CEO will be an inclusive relationship builder, skilled at working with a variety of stakeholders. Above all, they will be passionate about supporting young people to become the best versions of themselves.
